About me
For many years I have been pursuing my true passion: accompanying and supporting people in their healing and growth. I do this as a certified alternative health practitioner in Germany with an interdisciplinary, ever-growing repertoire – Somatic Experiencing (Trauma Therapy), Integral Somatic Psychology, Kundalini Yoga, Mindful Self Compassion and Ancestral Medicine. Central methods of my work are body-oriented talk therapy and yoga. You can learn more about my approach here.
On my path of exploring body-based practices I have met not only my clients but also people like Peter Levine, Raja Selvam, Marianne Bentzen, Heike Gattnar, Anne Janzen, Daniel Foorand Tsoknyi Rinpoche, who have given me numerous impulses and opened up a wide range of possibilities and choices in my own life.
I have been studying and practicing meditation andKundalini Yoga since 2008, mindfulness training (MSC – Mindful Self Compassion) was added as a supplement some time ago. This helps keep me healthy and emotionally stable. My awareness of self-care, embodied experiences and trauma-informed techniques helps me, as a certified Kundalini Yoga teacher (3HO), to support adults, teens and children on their path to greater resilience and a natural approach to their life energy.
Having been raised and educated in both the United States and Germany, I am privileged to speak two languages and have the cultural fluency that comes with them. I offer all of my services in English and German.
Prior to becoming an alternative health practitioner, I worked as a professional visual artist for more than 20 years, exploring the interconnected systems of nature and science. This has greatly enhanced my visual and conceptual sense, intuition, and ability to see the world from many perspectives. I also worked regularly as a TV picture editor for Deutsche Welle, which made me very comfortable with visual cues and working with people, both one-on-one and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Subsequently, I established and managed a sculpture center full-time for a renowned art foundry in Berlin: at that time, I coordinated various projects and ongoing commitments, curated exhibitions, managed art productions, and represented a company with outstanding craftsmanship and tradition to the public. Today, I benefit from working with creative people as well as business needs.
As someone who in America would be called a “multipotentialist,” meaning a person with multiple passions and creative pursuits, I am especially happy to receive inquiries from freelancers, artists, and creatives.
